Harry Devine, West Islip Hibernian, Dies

Visiting Sunday, burial service Monday at 9 a.m.

Harry (Henry D.) of West Islip, has died. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, and was the loving husband of the late Anne (nee Smith). He is survived by his son William D. (Bill), of West Islip, his brother William (Bill), of Port Jefferson Station, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and his longtime companion, Winnie Morrisey, of Islip.

He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Carlson. Devine was a proud member of The Ancient Order of Hibernians (Division 7 - Suffolk County), The Knights of Columbus and The American Legion.

Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Highway. The Ancient Order of Hibernians will hold a service Sunday 8 PM at the funeral home. Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Monday 9 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, West Islip. Cremation will be private.

Visiting Sunday 2:00 PM until 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to Our Lady of Consolation Nursing Home, West Islip, The Long Island Philharmonic or The Ancient Order of Hibernians, Div. 7.
