Split Personality

The Jets finish up the first part of their Jekyll & Hyde season with a home game against the New Orleans Saints.  So far this season it has been win one and lose one.  Were that trend to continue, the Jets would be a lock to win this coming Sunday, having lost last week.   Except, they will be playing one of the league’s top team.

The Saints come marching into MetLife Stadium as one of the league’s elite.  Their 6 – 1 record leads the NFC South.  They rank third in passing, averaging over 300 yards per game.  Their quarterback Drew Brees has already thrown for 19 touchdowns and 2300 yards.  On the defensive side of the ball, the Saints have shown tremendous improvement this season under the leadership of new coordinator Rob Ryan, Rex’s twin brother.

The game’s outcome will most likely depend upon which Jets team shows up.   The Jets who, at times, look dominant in victories over the Bills, Falcons and Patriots.  Or the Jets who were outclassed by the Titans, Steelers and Bengals.
