Let the Hoopla Begin

The two teams have arrived in New Jersey.  First the Broncos landed in Newark followed a few hours later by the Seahawks.  Both teams will be staying in Jersey City, across the Hudson from all the distractions of the bright lights of Broadway.  Both teams have announced that they would like to practice outdoors at least once before taking the field next Sunday with the Vince Lombardi Trophy on the line. 

Pre game activities kick off today with a Super Bowl Blitz concert in Jersey City followed tomorrow by Media Day.  After that the teams get down to working on their game plans for Sunday while New York City braces for an influx of up to a half million fans.  Beginning Wednesday, Broadway will be turned into Super Bowl Boulevard where an NFL Fun Zone will be in place.

Cold temperatures are expected throughout the week and the forecast for game time remains uncertain.  Right now the expectation is for moderately cold temperatures and light winds, however meteorologist are monitoring extensive weather models to see what we might expect.

By game time Sunday players on both teams should be anxious to get the contest started.  By about 10:30 P.M. Super Bowl XLVIII should be completed and the new champion will be crowned…
