"Keep the Dream Alive"

Those were the words echoed across the Giants locker room by head coach Tom Coughlin following the Giants third victory in a row this past Sunday.  After the nightmare of starting the season with six straight losses, who could have imagined the Giants with an opportunity to actually compete for a division title.   But that is exactly where they find themselves.  A win this Sunday against an Aaron Rogerless Green Bay Packers team, who were soundly beaten last Sunday, will keep the dream alive.

Realistically speaking how good are the Giants chances of taking the division title?  Right now the Giants stand a game and a half out of the division lead shared by the Cowboys and Eagles.  But so are the Redskins.  Any of the four teams have a chance of winning the NFC East.

This week the Eagles and the Redskins will go face to face in the city of brotherly love.  The Giants will be at home against a Packer team starting a quarterback who was not even on the roster when Aaron Rodgers went down two weeks ago.  The Cowboys will be taking a much needed vacation after being humiliated in prime time last weekend by the New Orleans Saints.  By Sunday evening the division picture should become more focused.  It is possible that the Giants could be playing for first place the following Sunday when the Cowboys come to town.
