It's Time to Get it Right!
The Giants head down to North Carolina for a week 3 matchup with the Carolina Panthers. Both teams are looking for their first win of the season. All week the talk around New York has been that the Giants must get their running game going. The Giants currently rank last in the NFL in rushing the football. At the same time the Giants are leading the league in passing yards.
Last season Eli Manning had one of his best outings against a healthy Panthers secondary even though he was operating without Hakeem Nicks, one of his key weapons. This week the Panthers will be playing with a depleted secondary, while the Giants receiving corps will be at full strength. The Giants are averaging 390 passing yards per game. Both Nicks and Victor Cruz are averaging over 18 yards a completion. Tight end Brandon Myers is quickly becoming a receiving threat and is currently tied for the team lead in receptions.
Early in the game, watch for Eli to exploit the Panthers weak secondary with an array of passes. Expect to see Nicks, Cruz and Rueben Randle capitalize on the Panthers depreciated pass defense. Once the pass has been established the Giants should be able to institute the ground game.

Of course, Eli must eliminate the interceptions…
