After yesterday debacle in Carolina it is hard for any fan of the New York Football Giants to be anything but disappointed. This is a very talented football team that just did not show up and compete. They did not run, they did not pass and they did not defend. What they did do was allow a mediocre team to completely dominate them in all phases of play.
The Giants have had laps like this before. In the 2005 Wildcard playoff game they were completely befuddled by a different Panther team eventually losing 23 – 0. Last season, with a division title in their grasp, the Giants were outplayed by the Atlanta Falcons losing 34 – 0. But at least those were playoff teams. Yesterday’s loss was to a winless Panther team with more losses than wins (13 – 21) during the Cam Newton era.
Giants' players and coaches should be embarrassed by yesterday’s drubbing. Giants' fans can only be baffled. Unless Coach Coughlin can quickly turn thing around the Giants may be planning their 2014 draft before the 2013 season is even concluded…
