Plenty of places in West Islip will be open on the holiday. However, many of them will have different or reduced hours so West Islip Patch has compiled a list of the open stores and their hours to make your holiday as stress free as possible. OPEN Supermarkets:
- Best Yet, 9 Udall Road, 7 a.m.-3 p.m.
- King Kullen, 478 Union Blvd., 7 a.m.-3 p.m.
- Stop & Shop, 400 Union Blvd., 6 a.m.-3 p.m.. The pharmacy in Stop & Shop will be closed.
- Rite Aid, 532 Union Blvd., 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
- CVS, 460 Montauk Highway, 24-hours as usual.
Liquor Stores:
- Higbie Liquor & Wines, 226 Higbie Lane, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
- Union Liquors, 440 Union Blvd., 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
- West Islip Wines & Liquors, 486 Union Blvd., 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
If you do not want to cook the big meal:
- Reservations are still being accepted at Villa Monaco, 778 Montauk Hwy. They will be open from 1 p.m.-7 p.m.. Call first for availability: 661-5599.
