Thursday's Events: What's Happening in West Islip

After yesterday's thunder, lightening and heavy rains that brought power outages in the area, the humidity and high heat have finally ceased. Clouds and showers are still lingering with a 20 percent chance of rain, but should only be sprinkles at worst.

West Islip alum Vinny Caccavale is hosting a "" summer camp through July 20 at Casamento Park. 

At the , The will have a variety of equipment used to find ghosts and other paranormal activity. See evidence the crew has found and share your own encounters with the unknown. The event starts at 7 p.m.
