Good Samaritan Earns Stroke Award for 3rd Consecutive Year

Hospital recognized by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.

In addition to being a NYS Designated Stroke Center, Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center has been recognized by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association with the Get With The Guidelines ® Stroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award for the third consecutive year. 

This award signifies that Good Samaritan has achieved at least 12 consecutive months of compliance excellence in adhering to all Get With The Guidelines Stroke Performance Achievement indicators and Quality Measures.

“Good Samaritan Hospital is dedicated to providing the best care for stroke patients in the country, and implementing the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines ® –Stroke program helps to accomplish this,” said Good Samaritan’s Vice President of Care and Quality Management Susan Dries, RN, in a press release.
