Former West Islip Legislator Inducted into St. John the Baptist Hall of Fame

St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School inducted four honorees into its Hall of Fame in November, and one is a well-known West Islip resident:

Angie Carpenter, -- Community Support. (West Islip) Angie currently serves as Suffolk County Treasurer.  She first served her West Islip constituency when she joined the Suffolk County Legislature in 1993, later becoming its presiding officer.  Angie is also very active in community efforts and a board member at Our Lady of Consolation, the Suffolk County chapter of the Salvation Army and the West Islip Cancer Coalition.  Angie has been a vocal supporter of SJB for many years and has even filmed her monthly “Legislator’s Report” at our TV Studio.
