GoFundMe Effort Aimed at Helping West Islip Family Cheer on Olympic-Bound Son

The goal is $15,000 for travelling expenses to Sochi, Russia.

An online fundraising effort is underway to help a West Islip family travel to the Winter Olympics to see their 19-year-old son participate in the Mens Luge Team event.

Aidan Kelly, as Patch reported, is one of the youngest members of the team. USA Luge is sending its youngest team to the games with an average age of 24.6 (including three teenagers.)

His sister Morgan Sophia launched a GoFundMe fundraising campaign on December 15 in hopes of raising $15,000 for the family’s travel expenses.
