Pink Flags Of October

The West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition (WIBCC) - to support October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month – is conducting an extraordinary month-long public awareness event at the Good Samaritan Hospital Center 1000 Montauk Highway West Islip NY.

For the entire month of October - FOUR HUNDRED PINK FLAGS will rise from the Good Samaritan Hospital front lawn! Beginning the month-long event - on Sunday October 2nd, 2011 at 4PM - there will be a candle lighting ceremony, followed with a performance by local High School Bands and Chorus, to acknowledge and display support for every loved one affected by Breast Cancer.

THIS IS A WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU TO SHOW LOVE & DEVOTION FOR THE SPECIAL PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE!

To personalize your support and appreciation for those in your life affected by Breast Cancer, you can purchase pink ribbons to attach to one of the 400 flags. For a donation of $25 each, the WIBCC will have the name of your loved ones written on your choice of an ‘in honor of’ or ‘in memory of’ ribbon. That flag will bear their name and fly proudly for the entire month of October.
