Winter Wine Tour Deals at Tellers: 50% Select Wines, $50 3-Course Dinner

Bohlsen Restaurant Group (www.brgroup.biz) presents a Winter Wine Tour from Tuesday March 11 to Sunday March 16 when diners can warm up with half-price cult wines and a $50 three-course menu atTellers: An American Chophouse.  

Half-price savings range from $35 to $893 (regularly $70 to $1785) on some of the world’s top wines, including ones rated 90 points and more -- “outstanding with superior character and style” -- by Wine Spectator, with around 40 labels.

Savings start at $35 (regularly $70) for Sangiovese/Cabernet, Rocca di Frassinello, Castellare/Rothschild, 2007;  and $48 (regularly $95) for Barbaresco, Roccalini, Paolo Veglio, 2008.  The bulk of the list is Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa and the Pacific Northwest with savings of a $175 (regularly $350) for Quilceda Creek, Washington State, 2005 – 2008;  $205 (regularly $410) for Ridge, Monte Bellow, Santa Cruz Mountain,1990 – 1992;  $263 (regularly $525) for selections from Madrona Ranch and Eisele Vineyard; and up to $450 (regularly $900) and $725 (regularly $1450) for offerings from Bryant Family.  Top of the list savings-wise is $893 (regularly $1785) for Chateau Mouton Rothschild, 2005.  

A special $50 three-course menu is being created for the Winter Wine Tour week. It starts with brisket risotto with mushrooms, peas and shaved Parmesan (+$3); signature Tellers baked clams; slow-simmered lobster bisque with poached lobster; or a wedge salad with Roquefort dressing, bacon and tomato.  Entrees include filet mignon Wellington with puff pastry, mushroom duxelles, a Brie fondue and Bordelaise sauce; roasted half-chicken with cornbread stuffing, mushrooms and gravy;  crispy skin salmon with applewood-smoked bacon, potato hash, whole grain mustard and spinach; or Surf & Turf with 8-oz petite filet and 8-oz broiled cold water lobster tail (+$12). Dessert choices are vanilla crème brûlée topped with muscavado sugar, berries or hazelnut cheesecake.
