Yard Waste Pickup Info for West Islip

Find out when you could finally get rid of all those fallen branches and debris.

If you're wondering when and how you can get rid of all the fallen debris and broken tree limbs due to Hurricane Irene, look no further (same can't be said for when you'll get power back).

The Town of Islip said that residents can bundle tree limbs together--under 40 pounds and under 4-feet long--and place them by the curb.  They can also put them neatly in a garbage bag or pale.

In addition to curbside pickup, you can also drop off yard waste at the MacArthur Compost Facility in Ronkonkoma.  Click here for directions

The Town also said they'll be placing 12 roll-off dumpsters throughout the area.  The bin in West Islip is located at Sequams Lane & Sequams Lane East in front of the canal.

Finally, there's also going to be something called the unlimited yard waste collection from September 12-24.  This collection will not be picked up with your household garbage and will be used only for hurricane debris.  Click this link and enter your exact address for the times and dates.
