West Islip Community Remembers Stephen Grello

Readers mourn the loss of the popular pediatrician.

, of Grello Pediatrics in West Islip, succumbed to cancer on Monday, Sept. 3.

wrote, "Dr. Stephen will be greatly missed. He was an amazing Dr. My kids will miss him dearly we will keep him and his family in our prayers everyday."

said, "We loved Dr. Stephen. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this awful time."

Donna Hagan Costanza wrote, "Very sad to hear this news. He was my children's doctor and he will be deeply missed. He was a great doctor, very sweet and caring. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and young daughters and the entire Grello family."

Kerry Landhauser wrote, "Such a huge loss to our community and all that knew him. He was truly the sweetest, most caring man and amazing doctor. He was both of my boys pediatrician and I know their hearts will be heavy. Our hearts and prayers go out to his wife, children and extended family. RIP Dr. Stephen ~ you will greatly missed."

Maria French Polito wrote, "What a tremendous loss..... He was an excellent Dr and a wonderful man.... May he rest in peace and prayers out to his wife, daughters and the entire Grello family... He will be missed."

This is only the beginning and in short time many New Yorker's will be forced to remain in their homes fearing one of these animals will make them their pray. I for one believe in the old adage, it's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

I think Proposition 2 is a great idea, in the current structure you have to "call out" anRead More individual basically saying "I think you are doing a particularly bad job". Politics get dirty enough as is and I think this will increase participation and ultimately give us a better Board of Education.
