Each week, the West Islip Public Library plays host to numerous activities and unique events for its residents. Whether it's for a child, tween, teen, adult or senior, there's always something for everyone.

Monday, Feb. 7

Yoga Nidra Meditation (7-9 p.m.) - Jackie Morrison helps you relax with Yoga Nidra Meditation. Bring a blanket or mat and a pillow for knee and back support. Limit: 40.
Infant Baby Massage Class (10:30-11:30 p.m.) - This class is for infants up to 12 months. Bring a diaper, mat or blanket. Expectant moms welcome (bring a doll). Limit: 15.

Tuesday, Feb. 8
Valentine's Day Craft (4:15-5 p.m.) - For kids in grades K-3. There's a $2.50 material fee.
Book Buffs & Pizza (6:30-8 p.m.) - Kids in grades 4-6 can go discuss "Romeo and Juliet: Alive at Last" by Avi with friends over pizza. Trivia as well.
Vintage Custom Jewlery Then & Now (7-9 p.m.) - A program that begins with the history of the major periods of costume jewelry and will help you identify makers marks along with other information on VCJ given by Kathleen Otranto, a collector and dealer of VCJ.
Wednesday, Feb. 9
Teens Night Out: Heart Button Bag (7-8 p.m.) - Design your own personal tote bag for Valentine's Day. $3 material fee.
Thursday, Feb. 10
Sweetheart Healthy Cuisine (7 p.m.) - Chef Charlie Walsh presents an educational and enjoyable demonstration of dishes that are both delicious and healthy.
Friday, Feb. 11
Senior fitness classes (11 a.m.-noon): This is a series of gentle exercises with Vicki Luckman geared toward increasing range of motion and flexibility. Bring 1-3 lb. hand weights, a water bottle, and a face towel. Fee: $15. Limit: 40..

Chess Workshop (4:45-5:45, West Islip Library): Regardless of player level, all are welcome. Classes are $20. Grades: K-6.
