It’s a busy week in West Islip, highlighted by sports sign-ups, WI Hoop Club's annual fundraiser and library events.

The library is hosting an open knitting club from 7-9 p.m. Open to all skill levels.

Wednesday, Feb. 1
There's a teen volunteer workshop scheduled from 4-5 p.m. at the library. Students will work on a creative project that will be donated to someone in the WI community. Volunteer certificates will be awarded.
Beach Street Middle School will be holding their athletic awards ceremony at 7 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 2
Good Sam is hosting a free community lecture "An Open Discussion on Breast Cancer Survival" at the Babylon Library at noon.
There's a New York State Pre-Licensing class starting at 11 a.m. at the library. The fee is $40 and open to everyone looking to become eligible to take their road test.
Friday, Feb. 3

Sat. Feb. 4
The WI Hoops Club is hosting their annual fundraiser at Farrell's of Brooklyn from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Residents can have access to great food, music and drinks for $10. Also, The Ed Travers Band will provide live entertainment.
