Sandy Ravages Parts of West Islip
Late season hurricane causes power outages and flooding while taking down numerous trees.
West Islip residents awoke on Tuesday to assess the damage from Hurricane Sandy. As of Monday afternoon, many parts of West Islip were without power, and those living south of Montauk Highway were still facing flood waters. West Islip Patch was out on Tuesday to view the damage and flooding.
