Owners Search for Missing Dog in West Islip

Brock, newly adopted from the Islip Town Animal Shelter, got out of his Tanglewood Road home Wednesday.

A West Islip family is searching for their missing dog, a 5-year-old Pit Bull named Brock.

Brock, who was recently adopted from the Islip Town Animal Shelter, was last seen at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday on Tanglewood Road. He got out of his home.

He is friendly, neutered and microchipped, according to his owners. However, they are requesting that anyone who sees him does not approach him, as he will run away.

"This poor boy has been through so much, including months in the shelter undergoing heartworm treatment. Please help him get back to his new family!" his owners wrote in a post on Facebook.
