November 1: Playoff Results, Food Drive

Five things you should know for Tuesday, Nov. 1.

The girls soccer and field hockey teams were both able win their first round playoff matchups yesterday.  Soccer beat Sachem East 2-0 behind outstanding defense and goals from Chelsea Weir and Amanda Martinez.  Danielle Ciolino scored the lone girl and Krista Spagnoletta had four saves as the FH team edged Commack 1-0.

The library will be hosting a Veterans Day Food Drive beginning today and ending Nov. 15.  All non-perishables will be donated to troops overseas.

Today's varsity action: After a tremendous regular season, the boys soccer team will host No. 11 North Babylon today at 2:30 p.m. to get their postseason started.
