May 5: Cheapest Gas in Town

Check this list everyday for a glimpse at what's happening around West Islip... from school events to sports games and Town of Islip functions, there is a sampling of everything.  We'll also preview and tease upcoming stories.

• The cheapest gas in WI could be found at the Valero station, where they're offering regular at $4.13 per gallon, according to LongIslandGasPrices.com.  The price isn't too from from the LI low of $4.09. 

• The library is hosting a cake decorating class for teens tonight from 7-8:15 p.m.  Learn the basics of baking, then make one yourself and let your editor be the taste tester. 

• There's a few plant sales going on today in the school district.  Both Kirdahy and Manetuck are holding their Mother's Day sales. 

• If you're interested in checking out some local homes this weekend, we'll supply our weekly open house list today at 10 a.m.
