June 7: Learn to Make Spanish Tapas, Psychic Night

Check this list everyday for a glimpse at what's happening around West Islip... from school events to sports games and Town of Islip functions, there is a sampling of everything.

Chef Rich Kanowsky is back at the library this evening, but he's not teaching his .  He's showing residents how to make Spanish tapas.  There is a $5 materials fee and you must call ahead to see if there's still room.

School events: Driver's Ed registration (12-2:30 p.m.), Beach Street and Udall have orchestra concerts at 7 p.m., HS band banquet at 7:30 p.m.

It's Psychic Night at Cafe Mojo beginning at 7 p.m.  Enjoy food, cocktails and a potential history lesson.  Private readings also available.

Read a profile on a girls college lacrosse player that set all kinds of records this year at her school.  Hint: she appeared in the Weekly Alumni Lacrosse Report multiple times.
