Festival of Lights Ushers in the Holiday Season

Annual ceremony included the lighting of the Christmas Tree and Menorah, as well as a visit from Santa Claus.

Members of the West Islip community gathered Sunday afternoon to kick off the holiday season and celebrate the 37th Annual Festival of Lights.

Students, organization leaders, volunteers and elected officials throughout the West Islip community joined together at Higbie Lane and Udall Road for the ceremony, which included live entertainment and refreshments.

Santa made a special appearance as well.
