Actors Neeson, Moore Filming At MacArthur Airport

Well-know Hollywood stars shooting scenes for feature film "Non-Stop."

Local travelers flying in and out of Long Island MacArthur Airport over the next few days may see some famous faces.

According to Newsday, actors Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore are filming scenes for the film “Non-Stop” at the airport. According to IMDB.com, the movie has a budget estimated at $50 million and the plot focuses on an air marshall who “must spring into action aboard an international flight.”

It is slated for release sometime in 2013, according to IMDB.

Town spokesperson Inez Birbiglia said the airport receives a fee for each film shot at Long Island MacArthur. Since the start of 2012, LIMA has received $150,000 from several movies shot at the Ronkonkoma-based airport.

Among the films to use MacArthur as a backdrop are “American Dreams In China” and "Looking for the Jackalope.” Well-know comic Louis C.K. also shot several episodes of his FX sitcom “Louie” at the airport as well.
