5 Things To Do This Weekend

Shopping sales, acoustic bands and live performances all going down this weekend.

Events in both Babylon Village and West Islip are featured in our weekly Friday column.  Add yours in the comments section below.

1.  Thistle and That, located in nearby Babylon Village, is hosting a shopping night on Friday from 6-10 p.m.  All purchases in the store between that time will receive an extra 10 percent discount.

2.  Still having trouble with email (we hope not)?  The WI Library is providing a lecture (10 a.m.-noon) on how to create, send, forward, reply and download emails.  Once you learn, test your skills by sending us one (anthonyv@patch.com).

3.  Also on Friday night, the Babylon Bean is holding an acoustic concert with JP Noonan from 8-11 p.m.  He'll play the best of the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and more at your request.  And while you're there, have Marie read your tarot cards.

4.  For the kids: Marchand School of Dance (library, 10-10:45 p.m.).  Children aged 3-5 can let loose at this gymnastics/dance class.

5.  Sunday afternoon: Join Elizabeth Rowe for her monthly "A Winter's Tale" performance at the library.  The master storyteller will allow you to pause, relfect and remember through ancient memoirs and modern stories.
