West Marine's West Islip Grand Opening Weekend (March 20-23)
West Marine kicked off the grand opening of their latest flagship in West Islip with a "Cruising for a Cause" charity night that raised more than $12,000 for local marine-based organizations. More than 500 customers turned out to shop the store as they enjoyed live music, Blue Island Oyster bar, raffle and auction. Big ticket items in the auction included a fishing trip with Capt. Ralph Wilkins of National Geographic Channel's hit show, Wicked Tuna. Grand Opening festivities continue through the weekend with interactive fishing seminars, Maui Jim steel drum music, a mini boat show and more.
