West Islip Chamber of Commerce Encourages Residents to Shop Small

Chamber promotes local merchants taking part in Small Business Saturday on Nov. 24.

In celebration of Small Business Saturday, the West Islip Chamber of Chamber of Commerce is doing its part to promote local independent businesses offering deals on Nov. 24.

The chamber has compiled a list of West Islip merchants participating in Small Business Saturday on its website, encouraging residents to head out and "shop small" this weekend.

"We are encouraging our community to shop local," said Belinda Rubino, vice president of merchants and marketing for the chamber, as well as the owner of West Islip-based SweetSpot Marketing.
