Roots Participates In LI Restaurant Week

Local restaurant offering special deals through Sunday.

Long Island’s spring Restaurant Week is underway and runs through Sunday. Participating restaurants are offering a three-course prix fixe dinner for $27.95 per person.  

In West Islip, Roots Bistro Gourmand is participating in Restaurant Week. The eatery is located at 399 Montauk Highway, just east of Route 231.  

Next door in Babylon Village, several restaurants are also participating in the weeklong promotion. They include Argyle Grill & Tavern, Babylon Carriage House, Barrique Kitchen & Wine Bar, Café Il Villaggio, Monsoon and Ristorante Gemelli.  

During the spring 2012 Restaurant Week, total restaurant revenue was estimated to be $5.4 million. Participating restaurants served an estimated 140,800 meals.
