The average Long Island fuel price has dropped for the third consecutive week, according to LongIslandGasPrices.com.
Although it was only 2 cents lower (down to $3.97 for regular) than last week, it's turning into a continuing trend. Just two weeks ago, the average price was at an August high of $4.04 per gallon.
Stations in West Islip are also following this trend. Here's a look at what they're offering in town.
