Gas prices in West Islip have taken a major dip, dropping 8 cents in the past week, according to LongIslandGasPrices.com.
Three stations in the area currently offer regular for less than $3.80 per gallon, when payed with cash.
The average price for Long Island fuel is also decreasing and is at a summer- low of $3.90 per gallon. The lowest price has been recorded at $3.75, just 2 cents cheaper than a few West Islip stations.
