Local businesses are filled with every gift idea under the sun – and no crazy lines!

If you've put off your holiday shopping list for weeks or simply haven't found the time-don't panic. Local stores are here to help, and there's still time to shop.

Hawley Corner Gift Shop

A West Islip favorite, this local gift shop offers an eclectic selection of gifts ranging from jewelry to personalized ornaments.

You can also pick up items from Vera Bradley, as well as various stocking stuffers.

They also offer free gift wrapping.

The store is open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from Noon to 4 p.m.

Gamehut Video Games

If it is one thing that has changed over the last decade-plus, it is the rise of the video game system are the favorite toy across the world. From Nintendo's Wii U to the Microsoft Xbox 360, Gamehut is fully stocked for whatever it is you need.

The owners are running a Christmas special this weekend on the most popular video game systems out there: Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Young Imagination Toys

Young Imagination Toys, Babylon Village's only dedicate toy store is ready for last minute shoppers – and fully stocked with the perfect gifts.

Owner Karen Young said her shelves are filled from floor to ceiling with toys that are worth every penny, including an expansive stock of the popular Melissa & Doug line – smart toys that last a very long time.

In addition, her shelves include "smart" educational toys for the learning child, like dinosaur skeleton sets and puzzles.

The storefront is located across from its old location (the current Kilwin's) and opened until Sunday evening.

Bubble

While children do not always appreciate the little things – like clothing – as gifts, you can make sure your young child has a great look headed into a new year.

Fully stocked for your children under eight, Bubble is also the perfect place to sign the little ones up for a fun workshop next year or pick up a small toy.

According to their Facebook page, Bubble is offering some discounts headed into the weekend and special events right after the holiday – act fast, sign up deadline is Christmas Eve!

This is only the beginning and in short time many New Yorker's will be forced to remain in their homes fearing one of these animals will make them their pray. I think Proposition 2 is a great idea, in the current structure you have to "call out" anRead More individual basically saying "I think you are doing a particularly bad job". Politics get dirty enough as is and I think this will increase participation and ultimately give us a better Board of Education.
