This week, we've featured two West Islip businesses that are doing their part to help fight breast cancer by supporting the West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition.
Hershey's Ice Cream of West Islip is selling "Eat For The Cure" ice cream cakes throughout October, with fifty percent of the proceeds going to the coalition.
The cake features pink sprinkles, pink flowers and a pink ribbon on the top.
Blink Fitness is running a special boot camp event on Sunday, Oct. 28. The classes wil take place every half hour from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Each class is run by a certified personal trainer and costs $10, which will be donated to the WIBCC.
All members of the community are welcome to participate. Those who want to register may do so here.
Each week Patch offers up news, sightings and gossip in the West Islip business community. Heard something that’s between a rumor and fact, let us know and we’ll check it out. Is there a community issue you’d like help solving? Let us know by emailing kaitlyn.piccoli@patch.
