SOJOURNS OF THE SOUL WORKSHOP

In her new memoir, Sojourns of the Soul: One Woman’s Journey around the World and into Her Truth (Quest Books), author Dana Micucci travels to seven of the world’s most exotic, sacred destinations—from the Australian Outback to Angkor in Cambodia, Egypt, Tibet, the Yucatan, New Mexico and Peru—to explore their ancient mysteries and metaphysical teachings.

Join Dana at Phountain (211 Higbie Lane, West Islip, NY) on Sunday, October 21, 1- 5 p.m., for a dynamic workshop that takes you on a transformative journey through the seven chakras—the main spiritual energy centers of the body.  Dana will weave together teachings and experiential practices from the diverse spiritual/wisdom traditions explored in her book.  Balance and activate your chakras with meditations, energy work, shamanic exercises and more.

Come and empower your heart, mind and soul, and be inspired to live the life you’ve imagined!  Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a pillow or mat.  Fee: $44.  Register at dmicucci@earthlink.net, or pay at the door.

Dana Micucci has enjoyed a decades-long career as a journalist and author writing about culture, travel and spirituality.  Her work has appeared in the New York Times, International Herald Tribune, Chicago Tribune, Town & Country, Architectural Digest, Art & Antiques and many other well known publications.  Sojourns of the Soul is her fourth book.  For more information, visit www.danamicucci.com.  She is also trained in a variety of healing modalities.

You can thank all these POS politicians for the new gun legislation designed to make law abidingRead More citizens give up their second amendment rights out of sheer frustration and incontinence of owning a gun legally for increases in savage on citizen violence. This is only the beginning and in short time many New Yorker's will be forced to remain in their homes fearing one of these animals will make them their pray. I for one believe in the old adage, it's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Has anyone been able to find out if we are losing money renting this building to this for profitRead More preschool? If I under stood correctly from previous post's, there may be some friendship with one or more BOE members which paved the way for their lease.

I think Proposition 2 is a great idea, in the current structure you have to "call out" anRead More individual basically saying "I think you are doing a particularly bad job". Politics get dirty enough as is and I think this will increase participation and ultimately give us a better Board of Education.

Why didn't the author run for the open seat this year? Bark of a wolf and courage of a lamb.
