West Islip Public Library Open, Offering Charging Stations and WIFI

The library is open with power Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Most West Islip residents have been in the dark for close to 48 hours thanks to Hurricane Sandy, so the West Islip Public Library is offering the public the chance to charge their cell phones and gain WIFI access Wednesday.

The library is fully operational, and has set up charging stations for folks to use. Those with laptops can charge them while using the library's WIFI.

To keep the kids entertained, movies will be shown in the community room from 1 p.m. until close.

All who are without power or need refuge are welcome.

Netter Real Estate at 404 Montauk Highway is also offering charging stations and hot coffee, as well as giving out candy to trick-or-treaters.
