The West Islip Chamber of Commerce will host a dedication ceremony for a 9/11 Memorial on Higbie Lane and Udall Road on Saturday at 9 a.m. A complimentary will follow at Farrell's of Brooklyn.

Playoff Football returns to West Islip this weekend as the Lions take on West Babylon at 1:30 p.m. During the game the Lionheart Foundation will be collecting cash, checks, and gift card donations to help West Islip families affected by Hurricane Sandy.

The West Islip Public Library will be open all weekend, offering folks who are still without power a place to hang out and charge their devices and access WIFI. While you're there, donate to their November Food Drive if you can.

Pandemonium Boutique is offering some retail therapy for the next weekend with a sale at the store. The clothing retailer is also opening up for free hot chocolate, coffee, tea, hot cider, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and a warm place to charge your phone up. Check it out daily from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

St. Joseph's Church in Babylon Village is available for hurricane victims and those left in the dark as a place to warm up, charge up and pick up supplies throughout the weekend from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; Similarly, First Presbyterian Church is also open with tons of supplies and clothing to hand out. They will be open Friday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and weekend 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
