Volunteers Needed: Clothing and Food Drive for Sandy Victims

Anyone looking to help can show up at Oquenock Elementary at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Community members are encouraged to volunteer this weekend for a clothing and food drive to help local families in West Islip affected by Hurricane Sandy.

West Islip teachers and students are holding the drive Saturday and Sunday at Oquenock Elementary School.

Those looking to volunteer or donate can show up at the school Saturday and/or Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition, the Women of West Islip will be collecting donations for local families at the West Islip Fire Department on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
