The Week Ahead in West Islip

It’s a busy week in West Islip highlighted by community group meetings and events at local schools and at the public library. Here are some of the highlights of happenings around the community.

Monday

• The will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. at the library. The group is looking for new members who are female and live and or work in West Islip.

Tuesday

• Youngsters and their parents can enjoy storytime at the . Storytime for tots ages 24 months to 41 months will be held at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Join Ms. Kerri and Ms. Carol for stories, songs and other activities.

• The PTSA will hold a meeting at the high school at 7 p.m. 

Wednesday

• Several PTAs will hold meetings on hump day.

Thursday

• will be held at the high school beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Dr. Salvatore Fiore Performing Arts Center.

Come and watch some of West Islip's most talented singers compete for the title of 2011-2012 West Islip Idol and help support WIHS Class of 2012!!

Friday

• Celebrate the grand opening of , West Islip’s first self-serve frozen yogurt shop. The daylong celebration runs from 11 a.m. to midnight. The store is located at 494 Union Blvd.
