The Week Ahead: Compass Coalition Talks Drug Abuse & Prevention

A look at events happening in West Islip this week.

Toddlers and their parents can enjoy storytime at the library on Tuesday. Storytime for tots ages 24 months to 41 months will be held at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

On Tuesday, parents are encouraged to attend a Parent University Lecture sponsored by the COMPASS Coalition focusing on prescription drug abuse amongst Long Island teens. The workshop starts at 7 p.m. at Beach Street Middle School.

The second school budget worksession of the season will take place on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Beach Street cafeteria.

The West Islip Public Library is also showing a free movie Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. Coffee and cookies will be served.
