Share Your Photos: P.S. I Love You Day

Members of the community will be dressed in purple Friday to show their support for the fight against depression and suicide.

If you see a lot of people wearing purple around town Friday, there's a simple explanation: the third annual P.S. I Love You Day is here.

Hundreds of students, faculty and business leaders across the country will show their support for the cause aimed at helping those suffering from depression.

Founded by West Islip High School senior Brooke DiPalma in 2012, P.S. I Love You Day is an extension of the campaign of kindness created in memory of DiPalma's father Joseph, who committed suicide in 2010. The movement has grown to support individuals suffering from depression, suicidal thoughts and bullying.
