Pronto to Distribute Hot Meals on Thanksgiving Day
Long Island-based outreach center will give out meals in Bay Shore Thursday.
For the third consecutive year, Pronto Long Island will distribute hot meals to families in need on Thanksgiving Day.
The outreach center will give out close to 800 meals to community members at its Bay Shore location at 128 Pine Aire Dr. from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
"We at Pronto remain true to our mission of People helping People in addition to clothing the needy and feeding the hungry," Pronto President Belinda Alvarez Groneman said in a statement. "During this holiday occasion, we at Pronto open our doors and look to assist families in need, within our community."

In addition, Pronto is providing food baskets and turkeys to hundreds of local residents who were devastated by Hurricane Sandy.
