It's been a rough winter for wildlife on Fire Island given super storm Sandy, the blizzard and cold winter days. No wonder this red fox, snapped by a U.S. Army Corps of Engineer photographer, was taking a moment to rest. The photo was taken on January 12, 2013 using a Nikon D60.

By an agenda was meant by someone running to the media. I've dealt with the media/reporters for many years. They are cowards and will run with a story while trying to turn over every rock with no shame. Hey pearly white they are KIDS, good ones from what I hear. Kids make mistakes even when they are taught right from wrong. They didn't commit a crime just chose maybe to take an easy way out. Welcome to the world of technology. Like others have posted and I have argued for years, phones should not be allowed in class. Period!!!

I mean really, did anyone from the district or school system need to contribute to the story in the media, how about no comment the matter is under review. Why does the BOE allow an overpaid moron like Richard Simon with no public information experience to speak to the media let alone anyone? This matter should have been handled by the School Districts attorney. Good job to the Morons of the BOE and Superintendents office keep letting us tax payers down.
