Fund will give back to the community in honor of the late West Islip teen.

A memorial fund has been established in memory of Thomas Labetti, the West Islip teen who lost his life in September after he was hit by an SUV while riding his bike.

The fund, called "Town 4 Tommy Memorial Fund," will be used to recognize a West Islip student, as well as help out local charities and promote bicycle safety awareness in Labetti's honor.

According to fund organizers, biking was a favorite hobby of Labetti's, along with basketball, paintball and hanging out with friends.
