Helping Hands in West Islip will collect Easter Baskets and other gifts during a donation drive on Wednesday, March 20.
The drive will take place at the American Legion Post on Union Boulevard from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Those looking to donate can bring in baskets filled with candy, small toys, plastic eggs, stuffed bunnies and slippers and socks. Volunteers are also needed to help wrap the items, and are requested to bring scissors, tape, ribbons, etc.
The baskets will be distributed to children at local homeless shelters and community centers such as Gerald Ryan Outreach, Faith House of Prayer and Headstarts.
