1.  St. Patrick's Day Party

When/Where: American Legion Post 1738 (Saturday, 7:30pm-11:30pm)

Why Go: To help celebrate St. Patrick's Day early, come enjoy a traditional night of irish dinner, beer and wine.  There will also be soda, desert, irish music and dancing.  It is open to members of the Legion, as well as the public.  Call to reserve a table or chair.

2.  

When/Where:  Beach St. Middle School (Sunday, 3:00pm-5:00pm)

Why Go:  Presenting concerts since 1979, the West Islip Symphony Orchestra provides a spectacular musical experience for everyone.  For over 30 years, they have enabled people of all ages to enjoy quality music right in their own little town.  Why travel into NYC and pay top dollar?  Students of all ages are admitted free!

3.  St. Patrick's Day Dinner Dance

When/Where:  400 Lakeland Ave, Sayville (Saturday, 8:00pm-12:00am)

 Why Go: Enjoy this fun event with music provided by DJ Scott.  There will also be door prizes and an Irish Jig contest.  Food provided will include appetizers, Irish soda bread, corned beef and cabbage dinner, dessert and Coffee.  

Pricing:  $20.00

 

4.  Defensive Driving Course

When/Where:  St. Lawrence The Martyr Roman Catholic Church, Sayville (Saturday, 9:00am-3:00pm)

Why Go:  Driving is one of life's necessities on Long Island, so it really pays to learn to drive defensively.  St. Lawrence The Martyr Roman Catholic Church is offering this course to help our community members.  This includes coffee/roll/bagel breakfast and a sandwich lunch. Save on your insurance or receive a point reduction on your license.

Pricing:  $35 donation

 

5.  Long Island Maritime Museum Presents...

When/Where:  The Long Island Maritime Museum, West Sayville (Sunday, 1:00pm)

Why Go:  Come join the historic museum as Shipwright Josh Herman takes everyone on a wonderful and educational journey through the restoration of the 1888 Oyster Sloop Priscilla, now a National Historic Landmark.  Known as the Pricilla Presentation, Pricilla is now the ambassador on the bay of the museum.  It is available for public sails and private charters.
