1.  Great South Bay Audubon Society

When/Where:  The Long Island Maritime Museum (Saturday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.)

Why Go:  Go on an exiting and educational nature adventure with the Long Island Maritime Museum.  There will be a Birding 101 presentation by former President Jack Finkenberg, and a nature walk around the museum grounds.  Spend the afternoon with beautiful birds and learn about the history of the museum and the Audubon Society.

Pricing:  $5 per person (for non-members of the museum)

2.  An Evening of Irish Music at Lily Flanagans

When/Where:  Lily Flanagans Pub (345 Deer Park Ave, Babylon, NY 11702) Saturday evening)

Why Go:  Not many places offer the sounds of Ireland while eating a great dinner.  Lily Flanagan's Pub will provide a unique Irish experience for parents and kids. Visit their website for more info.

3.  PAWS Adoption Fair

When/Where:  87 Foster Ave. Sayville (Saturday, 12pm-3pm)

Why Go:  Come enjoy the weekly open-house adoption fair in Sayville.  Visitors of all ages can meet wonderful and adoptable kittens and cats.  They can also learn about the adoption process, to ensure a happy and healthy future for the pets, as well as their owners.  Visit their website for more information:  www.sayvillepaws.com

4.  Happy Birthday Elmo!

When/Where:  Borders Books, 5151 Sunrise Hwy.  

Why Go:  For children ages 3 to 6, come celebrate the birthday of the iconic Sesame Street character, Elmo.  There will be fun events for children to take part in to celebrate Elmos birthday.

5.  Gentle Yoga & Pranyama

When/Where:  1 Corporate Drive, Bohemia (Sunday, 8:30am-9:30am)

Why Go:  For a wonderful hour of relaxation on the weekend, come take part in Gentle Yoga & Pranyama.  Pranyama is the art of yoga breathing, and is for all ages and levels of fitness.  Don't forget to wear comfy clothes and bring a yoga mat with you.
