What: The Women of West Islip are holding a food drive at the Stop & Shop in West Islip. Non perishable food items will be collected in front, and all food collected will be evenly distributed to West Islip food pantries. Summers are difficult a time to keep pantries full of food due to kids being home from school, so your help is needed.

What: The Sagtikos Manor is a wonderful historical site that is nearby and worth the trip. Dating back to 1692, its history goes back more than three centuries. Sagtikos is a Native American word, which is translated into "head of the hissing snake." Islip Arts Council Free Concerts - Bayard Cutting Arboretum

Why Go: The Bayard Cutting Arboretum is a New York State park that was donated to the Long Island State Park Region. It is a beautiful location, and ideal for outdoor summer concerts. Starting at 2 p.m., come down to the Arboretum for a Sunday filled with music and outdoor magic.
