In a message posted on the page, McCarthy's aunt said Ryan is making progress in his recovery and "doing really good."
McCarthy was left critically injured after he was struck by a car on Udall Road just before 10 p.m. on Dec. 31. Three individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident and an alleged subsequent cover-up.
