Please join us Sunday, September 23rd, 2012 in support of young adults battling brain tumors. Rachel Mackey, 28, bartender of Sanchos bar and grill, was diagnosed with a glioma (brain tumor) in 2010. She's had her second brain surgery to debulk the relentless tumor in june 2012. The goal of this event is to raise funds for Rachel's next treatment. She is planning to be treated at an alternative treatment center in Houston, Texas which will cost around $100,000 and is not covered by her insurance. She has been living in West Islip for 6 years with her boyfriend Jedd Storoshenko, and his mother, Jamie. Jamie is also a swim coach and bus driver at West Islip High School. This is only the beginning and in short time many New Yorker's will be forced to remain in their homes fearing one of these animals will make them their pray. I for one believe in the old adage, it's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
