Chamber of Commerce Selling Bricks for 9/11 Memorial

Members of the community can purchase and inscribe a brick to be included in the memorial on Udall Road.

The West Islip Chamber of Commerce is currently selling bricks to help support the construction of a 9/11 Memorial on Higbie Lane and Udall Road.

The bricks, which cost $100 each, can be engraved and will be included as part of the memorial. Proceeds from the sale of the bricks will be used toward construction and maintenance costs.

A steel beam from Ground Zero will be mounted into a stone inside the memorial, and the stone will be engraved. There will also be seating around the perimeter of the memorial so visitors can sit and reflect.

The chamber plans to unveil the completed memorial on Veteran's Day.

To purchase a brick, print and fill out the attached form and include with a check made payable to the West Islip Chamber of Commerce.

You can thank all these POS politicians for the new gun legislation designed to make law abidingRead More citizens give up their second amendment rights out of sheer frustration and incontinence of owning a gun legally for increases in savage on citizen violence. This is only the beginning and in short time many New Yorker's will be forced to remain in their homes fearing one of these animals will make them their pray. I for one believe in the old adage, it's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Has anyone been able to find out if we are losing money renting this building to this for profitRead More preschool? If I under stood correctly from previous post's, there may be some friendship with one or more BOE members which paved the way for their lease.
