Bites Nearby: Hi Sushi

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, West Islip Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

What better way to scribe the inaugural Eat Local column than with one of the only sushi restaurants in West Islip. 

prides itself on fresh fish and efficient service, which suits well for lunch customers.  With five lunch specials to choose from-- ranging from $6.95-8.95 (each served with miso soup and salad)-- there's something for everyone.  The editor's pick would have to be the Roll & Sushi Combo, with a subsititue of spicy salmon roll for the uninspiring California Roll.

Similar combos are available for dinner, along with about four dozen choices of house specialty rolls.  For starters, the Gyoza dumplings are lightly pan-seared and come in orders of six. 

Althernate dinner options include vegetarian, rice, noodle and dietary dishes.   Beverages include house or specialty Sake, Japanese beer and green tea (hot or cold).
